Christmas Markets - December 2021
Last week in the annexe we held our own Christmas markets with a stall and even a visit from Father Christmas himself. In the run up to the Christmas Markets, the children had created Christmas Eve sets that included reindeer food, a hot chocolate cone and a festive mug. The children also all made their own Christmas decoration to sell. Our stall was a sell out and the children were all very excited to have their creations on sale.
Ourselves: Sense of Smell - October 2021
In Reception our main topic is 'Ourselves'. This week in school we have been looking at our five senses and how we use these in our everyday lives. Today we used our sense of smell to guess the everyday item hidden in the pot. The children enjoyed this activity and were able to make a range of guesses as to what they thought was in the pot. We then had a discussion about our favourite smells and the smells that we didn't like.
