Autumn Term First Half Message

Coming September 2021

Year 1 Classroom - The Snowflake Room

This is our classroom.  Take a look around.

Our Outdoor Area

Take a look at our outdoor area.  We have great fun here.

Rainbow Room

The Rainbow room is a lovely big room where the children access continuous learning through a variety of played based activities. This is a shared resource with Reception.

The Annexe

We now have a wet room to enable our children to change into waterproofs and wellies so they can access our new equipment safely - and mainly, keep clean and dry! The Rain and Shine room has also been adapted to house even more new outdoor resources and equipment which can be accessed by the children during independent learning time.

Reading Books: Changed weekly or more often if necessary
Reading at Home: Little and often - please write in the planner when your child has read at home.
Home/School Book
Please use the planner to communicate with the Year One staff and also record when your child has read at home. We ask for the planner to be signed weekly, it will be checked on a Friday.

Things to Remember

PE Day Autumn Term First Half

Please come to school every Friday wearing the full school PE kit. Black shadow shorts and logo t-shirt with plain black sweatshirt joggers and their school sweatshirt. Correct fitting velcro trainers.

Outdoor Learning

Please make sure your child brings a coat to school everyday. Outdoor learning is a vital part of your child's learning and will happen on a daily basis. We kindly ask for you to provide us with a pair of wellies for your child which can be kept in school so the children can go and learn outdoors in all weathers! The wellies need to be labelled with the child’s name or initials please.
