Spring 2 Message from Miss Lawton
After such a busy and exciting start to 2019, we are ready for another half term full of lots of interesting topic work and BB activities. On Monday 11th March, we will be showing off our learning in our Class Assembly. Please come along at 9am to support us. At St. Thomas’ we value the link between home and school. We recognise the importance of parental support as it is vital in ensuring the maximum progress and achievement for your child. Please continue to use your child’s Planner for effective communication. However, if you have any concerns, questions or queries in the meantime, please feel free to make an appointment to see me before or after school.
Many thanks for your support,
Miss R. Lawton
Year 3’s weekly homework is incorporated into the nine sections of the Homework Grid. The Homework Grid needs to be completed each week and signed by an adult.
I will check and sign the previous week of the Homework Grid on your child’s designated day which is found at the front of the planner.
The children are expected to read to an adult at least three times a week, if not daily. Please note in the planner every time you read with your child.
These will be sent home each Friday and tested the following Thursday. It is important for each child to have a practise of their spellings at home, which is part of their Homework Grid.
Things to Remember
Tuesday and Friday.
Children must come into school in their PE kit wearing their Always Badge.
Children must bring in any library books that they have taken home to read/shared.
This is to be in your child’s book bag every day to ensure easy communication between school and home.
The planner must be signed weekly by a parent or guardian, I will check the previous week during Guided Read time.
