Welcome to Year 4 2016-17
Hello again from myself and the Year 4 team of Mrs Douglas and Mrs Butterworth. So here we are, our final half term of the school year and only six weeks left as a class together. The children will at some point enjoy ‘Move up morning’ and spend time in their new class with their new teacher.
This is a six week half term and we will be learning through four great topics. We will be learning about habitats and mini beasts through ‘Down At The Bottom Of The Garden’, we will have a wider study of PE through ‘Where Are We?’, we will look at places of worship in RE through ‘Sacred Places’ and finally we will look at British Values Individual liberty & respect for diversity.
This half term we are planning two days visiting the Castleshaw Centre and having two mornings of ‘Forest Schools’. These are outdoor sessions and we will give further information nearer the time.
Thank you again to you all for your support.
Let’s keep learning!

Year 4's weekly homework is incorporated into the nine sections of the Home Grid. The Homework Grid needs to be completed weekly and signed/dated by a parent or guardian. This will be checked on the same day as the planner.
The children are expected to read to an adult at home at least three times a week, if not daily. The planner must then be signed by the adult .

These will be sent home each Friday and a test will take place the following Thursday.
