Autumn 1 Message from Miss Bamber
I am very excited to have joined the school and am looking forward to working with both the Year 4 children and team of staff. We have some exciting learning planned this half term and plan on taking an adventure into the deepest rainforests, exploring Antarctica along with developing our French. I look forward to welcoming the children into the classroom on Wednesday 6th September for a year of exciting learning experiences.
Teaching and Learning Newsletters
Year 4's weekly homework is incorporated into the nine sections of the Home Grid. The Homework Grid needs to be completed weekly and signed/dated by a parent or guardian. This will be checked on the same day as the planner.
The children are expected to read to an adult at home at least three times a week, if not daily. The planner must then be signed by the adult .
Spellings and Times Tables
These will be sent home each Friday and a test will take place the following Thursday.
Things to Remember
Your child should bring swimming kit on Tuesday and wear PE kit to school on Fridays.
Monday morning 10.00 – 10.45
Children must bring in any Library books which have been taken home to be read/shared.
This is sent home every night for easy communication with parents. It must be sent into school each day inside the book bag.
The planner must be signed weekly by a parent or guardian.
All children's planners will be checked on a set day, details of which can be found at the front of the planner.
