Autumn 1 Message from Miss Blyden

Hello from myself and the Year 5 team of Mrs Pilling and Mrs Butterworth. It is our first half term together and we are going to spend a lot of our precious time getting to know one and other and doing lots of fun busy learning.

This is an 8 week half term and we will be learning lots through four fantastic topics. We will start the year off by doing lots of ice breakers and ‘getting to know you activities’ in our ‘New Beginnings’ topic, as well as lots of BB busting. We will then learn lots of interesting facts about forces in our science topic ‘May the force be with you’. Then we will look at some art and music in a ‘Starry Starry Night topic’, focussing on the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. To finish off the half term we are going back into the past and looking at the ‘Terrible Tudors’ in our history topic.

Thank you for all of your support.

Let’s have a fun-filled half term with lots of learning!
