Spring 2 Message from Miss Blyden
Hello from myself and the Year 5 team of Mrs Roddy and Mrs Bishop. Another half-term together filled with lots of busy learning!
We will be starting this half-term off with an insightful trip to the Mayor’s office in Oldham during our British Values ‘Democracy’ topic. We will also be writing our own manifestos to become class president! Year 5 will then be improving their French even more in another ‘Vive La France’ French topic- ooh la la! During Science week we will be dressing up as super scientists and taking part in our ‘Everything is Changing’ science topic, where we will be exploring lots of different investigations. Next is our business challenge where we will open up our own business for the week and sell something! Finally, we will be doing an RE topic called ‘What did Jesus do?’
During this half-term Year 5 will also be going to the careers fair at Mahdlo on the 27th March. This is an opportunity for the class to explore different career prospects for their future.
Thank you for all of your support.
Let’s have a fun-filled half term with lots of learning!
These will be sent home each Thursday and tested the following Wednesday.
Planner to go home every night for easy communication with parents.
All children's planners will be checked every Friday and it must be signed by a parent weekly for that day.
