Brass Assembly - December 2021
The brass group played in assembly on Thursday 9th December. Accompanied by Mr. Leedale, the group played: Chiming bells and their own rendition of Jingle Bells. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all and it took a lot of courage for the brass group to play in front of all the children and staff at Leesfield.
Christmas Market - 8th December 2021
Thank you to all the parents and children who helped to make our Christmas Market on Wednesday such a success. The stalls were fantastic! Well done to all the staff (particularly our talented Teaching Assistants) and the pupils who have been working so hard for the last few weeks making the brilliant seasonal gifts. We had reindeer logs, handmade chocolate, selfie elves, lip balms, soaps, body scrubs, Father Christmas was a sell-out, gift bags with treats and the café sold delicious hot-dogs and drinks. Despite the weather and covid trying to stop our fun, we had a great time and made over £1,000 profit and are still selling.
Experience Christmas - December 2021
Reverend Lyn Woodall organised a lovely event in church for our children in Y2 to Y6 on Thursday this week called 'Experience Christmas'. The children from each of these classes were split into small groups and took part in a carousel of activities mirroring the Christmas Story including: The Preparation, The Announcement, The Promises, The Journey, The Message and finally, The Gift. Each class spent an hour carrying out the specific tasks linked to the different parts of the story. Look out for some fabulous photos on your child's class page on our website. A huge thank you to Rev. Lyn and the volunteers who helped to make the 'experience' so memorable.
