Walk to School Week - June 2021

We started it Monday 28th June and children had to walk at least 4 times to school to help improve fitness and well being, reduce pollution, help the environment and ease traffic congestion and parking around school. Some pupils live a fair distance from school and usually get to school by car,  but they chose to park away from school at walk the rest of the distance. Those children who completed the challenge were rewarded with a badge. The eco-committee members decided it was only fair to set the challenge at 4 times because we can't rely on the British weather and sometimes people just have a bad morning and end up running late.

Congestion Issues - Autumn Term 2020

We have worked with OMBC to try and improve parking, congestion and pollution around school and are asking people to walk or ride their bikes to school. The pupils also created posters to put up in school to promote the scheme.

Battery Recycling Initiative

Can we remind parents and children to help with the environment and to bring them into school so that they can be ethically disposed of.
